CIgar Box #25 - Just Because

Just Because.

While that is basically why I made this box, "Just Because" is the line of paper I used from Little Yellow Bicycle :)

Starburst / Sunburst

One of my favorite ways to use up scrap pieces of paper is to make a Starburst card.  The tutorial can be found here

I made these three cards with more leftover scraps from my Nested Owls altered cigar boxes.

These are a lot of fun.  Try it!

Chevron Card

Thought I'd use some of my leftover scrap paper from making the Owl Cigar Boxes to make a couple of chevron cards.

I found the technique/tutorial on Deb Valder's blog.  Although, I found I had to cut my base card stock (the one on which I attach the pieces to form the chevrons) 1/8 inch larger than the tutorial suggests for the chevron pieces to line up properly and not hang over the edge.

Pretty cool, huh :)

Cigar Box 23 & 24 - Nested Owls

I found this really cute paper in Las Vegas (I don't remember the shop).  The brand is "ADORNit Carolees Creations" and the paper is called "Nested Owls Coral."

I didn't know which cigar box in my stash it would go with, but I knew I'd figure out something. Turns out I had this large black and red box just sitting there waiting for this paper!

On the large box, I colored the brass portion of the knob with my black Copic marker - my friends said it could be done and they were right! I added some bling on the inside and a few adhesive rhinestones on the top and inside.

And....I had enough leftover paper to do a smaller box.  The photos truly don't do them justice.

Cigar Box 22 - Baltimore Ravens

Nothing to do on rainy day but make an altered cigar box I've been putting off since last football season :)

The custom Ravens designer paper was obtained from Photo Scraps in Eldersburg, MD.
